FOREX-Dollar extends gains as euro falls under $1.28

The euro traded as low as $1.277 against the dollar, a 14-month low, and was last off 0.5 percent after European Central Bank President Mario Draghi renewed a pledge to keep monetary policy loose for an extended period.
